We are a charity based in the North East of England, focussed on improving the wellbeing of young people in need and supporting them to build their self-belief.
What we do
A Brighter Future
The programmes’ activities include workshops on topics such as building and sustaining friendships, raising aspiration, sleep hygeine, communication skills and body image. The young people choose the topics!
Having successfully worked with the young people, we put their new found confidence into practice by taking them out on activities. The activities include, the theatre, restaurants, karting, outdoor pursuits - it is their choice!

How we began
Building Self-Belief CIO was created in April 2018 and formally launched by Sue Snowdon, the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham in November 2018.
Since that date, we have significantly improved the mental health, self-esteem and life chances of hundreds of vulnerable young people across the north east.
