Benfieldside Community Garden - January 2025 Update
Here's a short update of where we are up to with out plans for Benfieldside Community Garden. We are working through the winter, to get as much as we can in place so the community can enjoy the space over the summer months. A massive thank you to our volunteers, we couldn't do it without you!

Lena, Kyle, Alex and Noah have put their heart and soul into organising Kye’s Kick-Off and so much more. From planning the big match to running fundraising events behind the scenes, they’ve gone all out to support Kye and make a real difference. This isn’t just about football — it’s about community, love, and coming together for a cause that truly matters.

Niamh volunteers with Building Self-Belief as a member of their Youth Panel and is also studying towards a Masters of Planning at Newcastle University. Niamh has been able to support projects run by BSB and add both a professional and personal perspective on a whole host of projects.

Odin's Poems
As part of our digital inclusion programme, we are open to all kinds of suggestion of help from the members of the community. Odin has been to quite a few of our sessions, and we have helped him in all kinds of ways to get reconnected. This week I was personally delighted that he brought along some poetry that he has written, to share with us, and asked for our help to digitise.
