About Martin
Born and raised in Consett, Martin knows first-hand the importance of building self-belief, hope and aspirations in people. Martin has been an English teacher for 18 years throughout Durham, Gateshead, and Northumberland, shaping young minds, fostering self-belief, and igniting the flames of curiosity. As Head of English for many years, he has honed leadership skills. As Assistant Headteacher, leading teaching and learning, he has devised strategies to enhance teaching quality, student engagement, and academic outcomes. He coaches teachers, encourages professional development, and champions their growth, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
